Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy describes how Occasor, the marketplace platform ("Occasor," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use our website and services (the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three primary ways:

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

This includes personal data you submit when creating an account, booking a service, or listing your business:

  • For All Users: Name, email address, phone number, and password.

  • For Vendors: Business name, address, portfolio content (photos, videos), service descriptions, pricing information, and bank details for payment processing.

1.2 Payment Information

When you make or receive a payment through the Platform, your payment details (e.g., credit card number) are handled by a third-party payment processor. Occasor does not store sensitive cardholder data. We receive limited information related to the transaction, such as the payment token and the last four digits of your card.

1.3 Information Collected Automatically (Usage Data)

When you visit our Platform, we automatically collect data about your device and activity:

  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type.
  • Usage Data: Pages viewed, time spent on pages, referral sources, and interactions with service listings (clicks, bookings).
  • Cookies and Tracking: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect this data. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To Provide Services: To create and manage your account, process bookings, display Vendor profiles, and facilitate communication between Customers and Vendors.
  • Service Improvement: To monitor and analyze usage patterns, troubleshoot problems, and improve the functionality and user experience of the Platform.
  • Personalization: To tailor search results, recommendations, and content based on your past activity and location.
  • Security and Verification: To verify the identity of our users, prevent fraud, and maintain the safety and integrity of the marketplace.
  • Marketing and Communication: To send you service-related notifications, updates, and promotional content about our services or services we think may interest you. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

3. How We Share Your Information

We only share your personal data as necessary to provide our services, and under the following circumstances:

  • With Counterparties: When a booking is made, we share the Customer's name, contact details, and event information with the booked Vendor, and vice versa, to enable the completion of the service.
  • With Service Providers: We use third-party companies (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, payment processors) to perform functions on our behalf. These parties have access to your data only to perform these tasks and are obligated to maintain confidentiality.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or if we reasonably believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business Transfer: In connection with a merger, sale of assets, or acquisition of our business, your personal information may be transferred to the new entity.

4. Data Security and Retention

We implement commercially reasonable security measures (including encryption, firewalls, and secure access controls) designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.

5. Your Privacy Rights

You have certain rights regarding the personal information we hold about you:

  • Access and Correction: You may review and change most of your personal information by logging into your account settings.
  • Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and personal data. Note that we may retain some data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., maintaining transaction records).
